The Quadratus Lumborum is a small but important muscle for spine and breathing stability, function and proprioception. It is also often misunderstood where this muscle actually is and how to work it specifically. In this 4 hour Deep Dive we will cover the anatomy, movement, postural implications, indications, contraindications, considerations and bodywork treatment for the quadratus lumborum muscle and its related myofasica including the erector spinae muscles and the lateral raphe. We will start with palpation and anatomy breakdown of the lumbar region and progress to doing focused, specific work to ease, free and balance the myofascia and fascial lines of the QL from prone, side lying and seated.
This workshop is part of a series of “Deep Dive” Workshops held by Alex in his studio space in Mt Tabor. As such, space is limited to 8 students.
