This workshop will cover the intricacies, details, and relationships of the shoulder complex from its attachment at the thoracic outlet to its ultimate expressive end, the hand. Explore with us an integrated approach to problem solving one of the most commonly recognized areas of client complaint: the shoulder and arm. This small class, two-day workshop, will cover visual and palpatory assessment as well as application of fascial, myofascial, deep tissue, muscle energy, and mobilization techniques for the shoulder joint, arm, and hand.

At the end of this workshop students will have a better understanding of the posture and postural implications of the shoulder and a multitude of techniques for releasing, freeing, mobilizing and reengaging the myofascial anatomy of the shoulder, arm and hand. It is our goal that you will walk away from this workshop with a more profound connection and responsiveness to myofascial tissue.

For this workshop we request that you wear clothing appropriate for posture assessment and bodywork for the upper body, such as athletic clothing, tank tops, sports bras, bathing suit tops, etc. Being able to see as much of the details as we can in a client’s posture is a significant part of treatment planning.
