ONLINE Integrative Sequencing and Strategies for Plantar Fascia and Other Common Foot & Ankle Issues ONLINE (Live-Streamed) April 17-18, 2026
ONLINE Integrative Sequencing and Strategies for Plantar Fascia and Other Common Foot & Ankle Issues ONLINE (Live-Streamed) April 17-18, 2026
This is for Online participation via Zoom (link will be emailed upon confirmation). We strive to make the live-stream experience as in-person as possible. Please have a model to practice techniques with and a space conducive to practicing bodywork where your live-streaming device can see your work. This allows us the best position to help you through Zoom. We have been happily surprised by how well we can provide instruction and “table-side” assistance through the live-streaming format.

We will simultaneously be recording & broadcasting class for people tuning in through Zoom as well during this workshop and wanted to make sure that you are aware of this.
This workshop takes a look at common pathologies found in the plantar fascia of the foot, focusing specifically on plantar fasciitis/fasciopathy. We will also cover other foot and ankle problems including bunions (hallux valgus), neuromas and achilles tendinopathy. We will explore the anatomy and physiology and current understanding of foot-related pathologies, treatment options, indications, contraindications and considerations for integrative bodywork. We will look specifically at some of the most prevalent bio-mechanical, postural and muscular imbalances as well as movement patterns that correlate and/or contribute to foot-related issues. We examine what exactly the plantar fascia is and how pain in this important connective tissue structure develops as well as what massage therapists can do to address and support their clients in alleviating and managing the symptomology that accompanies foot and ankle pathologies. Integrative Bodywork strategies will be outlined, demonstrated and practiced throughout the workshop to give students as much hands-on experience as possible.
You will need to have or create a Zoom account to participate and we recommend doing so a few days before the workshop. Please have a practice partner, client or colleague (camera on) available for the class's practice periods Your practice partner does not need to have foot-related issues…the techniques and concepts presented will be helpful to any foot. You will have the ability to ask questions, get feedback from both Alex and Jonathan directly throughout the workshop. After participating in the workshop, in order to receive your certificate, you will need to fill out a course evaluation form via email.
This is a newer format for IBMT, and while tested is somewhat subject to technological and circumstantial variables. In the case of any serious issues with live-streaming, we will arrange other credit options or refunds for you.
You may cancel up to 5 days before the workshop and receive a full refund. Refunds thereafter will be on a case by case basis.
