We will simultaneously be recording & broadcasting class for people tuning in through Zoom as well during this workshop and wanted to make sure that you are aware of this.

One of our most requested topics, scoliosis presents the manual therapist with some interesting challenges. This workshop will be focused on getting a basic understanding of spine and rib cage anatomy and mechanics before moving on to understand how scolisis affects these regions specifically. Indications, contraindications and considerations for Integrative Bodywork for scoliosis will be covered. We will explore spinal movement and breathing assessments as well as several bodywork techniques for freeing the structures most commonly affected by scoliosis. Since the techniques and concepts covered are based on spinal mechanics common to every spine they are helpful for ALL spines so these techniques can be beneficial for a vast majority of clients.

Tables, linens and handouts will be provided. All you need to bring is your interest in anatomy and massage, your sense of humor, and whatever you need to take notes, etc. Textbooks and merchandise are available for purchase at the workshop.
